Petersen, Kurt

Kurt Petersen is a professor at the Department of Fire Safety Engineering and Systems Safety, Lund University.

Degrees: 

• M. Sc. in mathematics, computer science and statistics, Copenhagen University, Denmark
• PhD in reliability theory, Technical University of Denmark

Research areas: Risk analysis methods, risk management approaches, crisis management, methods for risk and vulnerability analysis. Currently responsible for the research framework program, FRIVA, on risk and vulnerability analysis in the Swedish crisis management system.
