Daniel Nilsson is an Associate professor at the Department of Fire Safety Engineering and Systems Safety, Lund University.

Research areas: Fires and human behaviour. Daniel is currently involved in METRO, a research project about fire and explosion safety in underground transportation systems, where he is assistant project leader and WP leader for Work Package 2 (WP2 - Evacuation). Daniel is also the Swedish project leader for KESØ, an Interreg IV A project about evacuation safety in complex buildings.
