The 10th IAFSS Symposium

2011-06-14

In the end of this week many of the department's researchers will be travelling to Washington to participate in one of the largest fire safety science meeting in the world; the 10th International IAFSS Symposium, which is held on the campus of the University of Maryland. More than 400 scientists and engineers from all over the world is expected to participate in this conference, which was first organized in 1985. The symposium begins on Sunday (June 19) with a series of workshops, and ends on Friday next week (June 24) with a second series of workshops. In total, more than 110 papers will be presented during 3 parallell sessions, and in addition there will be more than 100 posters presented during the workshop sessions.

The Department of Fire Safety Engineering and Systems Safety is represented in 1 paper and 5 posters:

Fridolf, K. and Nilsson, D. (2011). People’s Subjective Estimation of Fire Growth: An Experimental Study of Young Adults. Paper presented at the tenth IAFSS Symposium, 2011-06-20, University of Marlyand, Washington, USA.
